Jaffna Old Kachcheri

                                               Jaffna Old Kachcheri is considered as an important monument and located on the premises of old park near the Governor’s office and Jaffna District Secretariat. This building was constructed in the British period and Mr. Perival Ackland Dyke (1833-1867) is the responsible person in constructing this building for administrative purposes. When he was the Government Agent, he had constructed this administrative building. He has purchased a 27-acre land and developed his resident building with garden. This building represents British architecture.
