It is a most popular, largest pond and situated near to Naga Vihara in the Jaffna town. It is believed that is associated with historical aspects. The pond has lotus and many residents’ birds visit to this pond. It has recently renovated by Jaffna Municipal Council with funding assistance of private sector for promoting recreational activities. It is considered as major recreational center within the Jaffna town.
