Ruins of foundation of the Sangilliyan Toppu

                                               It is considered as another physical remnant of the Jaffna kingdom. This foundation is situated eastern side of the façade of mansion of Sangiliyan palace on the Point Pedro Road and the area has been called as Sangiliyan Toppu for a long period. It is believed that these foundations are associated with Nallur Kingdom and Tamil king. There is a big tank near the foundation.Many history researchers have studied and proved that these evidences were associated with Tamil king Sanliyan period. This foundation has been proclaimed as Archeological monument by Department of Archeology.
