Sri Nagapooshani Amman Temple

                                               Sandilipay, Seerani Nagapoosani Amman is one of the Hindu temples, located in Sandilipay , along the Jaffna-Manipay-Karainagar Road. The prime deity is Goddess Amman especially Nagapoosani Amman. Prime deity`s symbol is a cobra headed one which is associated with the lives of Hindu people.Goddess chose to adorn herself with a Cobra which had worshipped her, as a jewel on her physical body. It is traditionally believed that among the Tamil Hindus, whoever has suffered “NagaThosam” or other illness, they visit to this temple to recover from such Thosam and illness. The regular pooja begun on the moon day of Hindu month Aadi(July) in 1896 and The Annual High festival is celebrated
